Starting to gather your first 4X4 recovery kit, or is it time to replace those worn straps? First Time 4WD recovery kits are the safer, lighter and a more convenient alternative to the traditional strap kits available on the market.
Don’t overrate your equipment – bigger isn’t always better. We recommend 8000kg recovery equipment for almost every use in Australia.
For instance, 11,000kg recovery kits are described as ‘truck’ recovery kits and are made for the American market, where their vehicles tend to have a much higher GVM.
This means that you’re using an 11,000kg snatch strap with your 2500kg vehicle, you’re not getting the required ‘stretch’ out of your strap and, in turn, putting unnecessary shock load through your other recovery equipment.

Our kits come with a the full set of equipment you’ll need. After all, what’s the point of an equalizer kit that only comes with one soft shackle? (We’ve noticed some sellers keeping the cost down by leaving you short.)
Our soft shackles are made from 10mm 12-strand SK75 Dyneema rope, break strength (BS) tested and certified locally by a LEEA accredited testing facility (Certificate No.6858).
